From Bali to Athens over to Dubai and Cape Town: I have been travelling around a lot in the last couple of months, which has truly made me appreciate good backpacks. Whenever I am on the go I use one, since it makes it a lot easier to carry all my stuff around and I don’t end up with a sore neck like a do with a shoulder bag. Thanks to AEVOR I got to try out one of their sportspacks, which is not only great for travelling, but also ideal for university, school or to take on a hike. In Cape Town I got to test it out for the latter, so continue reading for my personal review of the backpack and for some breathtaking pictures of my favourite city in the world.
When I picked out the bag, I opted for the Sportspack Black Eclipse (here), since its separable compartments make it ideal for carrying around a 15” laptop as well as fitting in a lot of other stuff. Moreover, I like the fact that it has also got a lot of smaller pockets, which is great for storing keys, sunglasses etc. As some of you might already know: I will be starting uni next year (more infos coming soon!) so I think this might actually turn out to be my go to backpack for carrying my books.
However, for now I have only been taking it on hikes and I am super happy with it. It is really light and feels good to carry. Furthermore, it has a chest strap which is really convenient when you need two free hands for climbing around. The back panel is equipped with an “air-flow” system, which provides the necessary air circulation to prevent your back from getting all sweaty. Size wise it is also a match: during our hike I was able to fit in two jackets for when it got cold in the evening, yet at the same time it is not too big or uncomfortable to wear. I chose the classic black version, however they also have a lot of fun, colourful designs (here).
For these pictures we took my AEVOR backpack up Table Mountain, which gave us an absolutely incredible view over the city and Lion’s head. Even though August is supposed to be winter in Cape Town the weather that day was beautiful and the light was amazing. For sunset we sat on a rock watching the sun go down on the horizon, painting the sky in a cotton candy pink. Trust me: the best places for sunsets in the world are Bali and Cape Town.
If you are looking for a great, high quality backpack for uni, travelling or sports I can really recommend the AEVOR Sportspack, which has convinced me on this hike. Oh- and if you are looking for a place to travel to: do yourself a favour and book a ticket to Cape Town 😉
