Call me a tourist, but I love doing those typical hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tours. Whether it was in London, Barcelona or here in Cape Town- I really enjoy just sitting in one of those buses, getting an overview of the city and listening some interesting background information about the place. Since two of our friends from Germany are visiting us for two weeks in Cape Town, Julia and I have decided to take them on a Sightseeing Tour today.
We started off in Long Street and got on a blue line sightseeing bus, which took us past the university of Cape Town, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, the Constantia Vineyard, Hout Bay and along the breathtaking Victoria Road back to Camps Bay.
There we had lunch at Mezepoli, a greek restaurant which also serves Sushi. They have a lot of Vegetarian and Vegan options, which was great. I had a veggie inside out roll and some avocado maki, which tasted really good.
In the evening we did another Must-Do in Cape Town: the hike up Lion’s Head. I can’t believe I only did it on my second visit and after about a month of being here. We arrived on the top just in time to watch the sunset. The view was absolutely surreal and magical.
I didn’t think it was possible, but today I fell in love with Cape Town a little more…
