Crete, Greece Photodiary

There are moments in life that fill your heart with so much love and happiness that you would love to keep them, so that you can always go back and emerge yourself in them over and over again.

My last night on Crete was one of those amazing moments that I will treasure forever.

Together with my mom and Julia we spent 4 days of relaxing, family quality time on the island. On our  last night we decided to visit the close by fisher village called Mochos and have dinner there. I didn’t expect anything, but this cute village stole my heart: it was SO Greek and there were only very few other tourists. The centre of the village was a small harbour, where you could sit in a cafe or restaurant and have a drink and eat.

After having the best local and organic orange juice of my life (the oranges on Crete are incredible!) we went to a taverna for dinner. No doubt this was the best Greek food I had ever had in my life. Even the simple green salad tasted amazing, because all of the produce was local and fresh.

We had the funniest and friendliest waiter and the night time atmosphere of the harbour was like no other. I honestly wish I could share some of the happiness I felt during that moment with you. However, since that is a bit hard I am just going to share some more pictures from my trip to Crete, which I hope you will enjoy too.

One day we rented a car and drove around the east of Crete. We stopped at Vai beach, which had this breathtaking viewpoint

Absolutely love the pictures from this trip!
Its amazing to read about the happiness you and things that you describe! Of course you cant share the happiness you’ve felt during those moments, but the positive energy and the realness that you give off with this post already gives me a huge smile :))

Alles Liebe, Janine

I think that it is a great ability to enjoy such “little” things like a fresh orange juice and being around your loved ones. Unfortunately, many of todays people can’t do this anymore. Sometimes you only need to slow down and take a look around you, to find the real beauty, as you did on Grete. I believe with your positive style of writing and the great photos you take you can share some of your happiness with others.

I like this, keep up your style 🙂
