I admit it: I am nearly 20 (still in major denial of the fact that I soon won’t be a teenager anymore) but I still love going on holidays with my parents. I remember the summer when I was 16 and I told my parents that this would be the last year that I would join them for holidays. Looks like I was wrong. I actually love joining my parents for a family vacation. Reason number 1: I don’t have to worry about a thing, because my parent’s got it all (or most of it) organized, which reminds me of the carefree days of my childhood. Number 2: I don’t have to pay for everything by myself (yes this sounds so superficial, but my bank account deserves a break after my trip to Hawaii in July). Reason number 3: There is no one else out there that knows me as well as my family and that loves me as unconditionally as they do.
When we left Corse yesterday to spend another few days at the Garda Lake the realization that this summer is slowly coming to an end hit me. I don’t think I am ready for rain and winter coats yet. So as a way to protest against the end of summer I decided to wear this full on summer look. Denim shorts, my new Birkenstock, a straw fedora and a blouse in a happy sunshine yellow are the combination for sunny days.
Now I am just hoping that the weather here in Italy will be as sunny as this look so that we can fully enjoy the last days of this holiday.
