Thanks to my blog I have been able to stay at some of the most beautiful hotels around the globe. However, the hotels that we stayed at in Dubai trumped everything. Imagine: personal butler, incredible suites, the head chef creating a vegan menu just for you, amazing spa treatments and more- it is safe to say that we got absolutely spoiled whilst staying at 3 of the most luxurious hotels in Dubai: The One & Only Royal Mirage, The Park Hyatt and The Raffles.
The One & Only Royal Mirage
Our first two nights in Dubai we spent at The One & Only Royal Mirage. When we arrived in the evening and were shown to our “room”, Julia and I had a hard time not to scream in excitement. We got to stay in a huge suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 balconies with a view over the beach. We were also welcomed with personalized gift boxes, which contained stuffed dates. This made me even more excited, because dates are one of my favourite foods out there.
After we put our suitcases into the room we had dinner at the hotel’s Eauzone Restaurant. Knowing that we are both Vegan the French chef created a 3 course Vegan menu for us. For each course he brought several dishes, so that we could try a bit of everything. Moreover, the waiter brought a wine to suit each course, which was absolutely incredible. I don’t think our Dubai trip could have started off any better.
The One & Only Royal Mirage isn’t just a hotel- it is a huge complex with several wings and a 1 km private beach. The traditional Arabian design of the buildings and interior made me feel like I just woke up in a story from Thousand and One nights. Of course, they also have a Health & Beauty Institute where we got to indulge in a traditional Oriental Hammam Experience. This treatment consists of warm steam sessions and deep cleansing scrubs of the skin, which is then followed by a light massage. It was great, because it got rid off all our dead skin cells and our skin felt as soft as baby’s afterwards. To follow the treatment, we got to relax in the spa facilities and were served some traditional tea and dates (yes!) to snack on.
The French chef at The One & Only honestly made all of our food dreams come true. For breakfast he served us a full on vegan menu consisting of: blueberry muffins, bircher muesli, scrambled tofu, cookies and a lot more. It was absolutely amazing that he “veganized” all of these dishes for us. Moreover, on the second day we got the opportunity to enjoy an Afternoon Tea experience at the Samovar Lounge. As you may be able to guess by now this didn’t mean we just had some tea. Once again the chef excelled himself created the most mouthwatering sweet and hearty delicacies for us. It was truly incredible!
The One & Only Royal Mirage was easily one of the best and most luxurious hotels I had to pleasure of staying at. At this point I want to give a big thank you to the incredibly sweet Melanie, who organized everything and who made our stay unforgettable! Thank you- I hope that we will see you again soon!
The Park Hyatt Dubai
After leaving the One & Only we then moved to The Park Hyatt for two nights, which also didn’t fail to impress. What absolutely blew my mind at this place was the incredible architecture. Again it was very Arabian inspired, however with all its blue element it made me feel like I was on Santorini, Mykonos or another Greek Island.
After we checked in at the hotel we got surprised by room service, which brought us chocolate (all vegan) and a bottle of white wine. From our room we had a view over the river and neighboring Yacht Club so we sat down on the balcony to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a glass of wine.
For breakfast we once again got surprised by the Chef who made us a decadent all vegan spread! This time around we had pancakes, croissants, muffins etc. and they all tasted absolutely incredible. When the chef asked if we wanted anything special for the next day I suggested vegan chocolate croissants- and he did make them! I was in food heaven.
The Park Hyatt has a huge beautiful pool, which is right next to their Amara Spa. At the Spa Julia and I were invited to enjoy a 1-hour traditional massage. The staff at the Spa was amazing and the massage was so relaxing that I think I fell asleep after a few minutes.
The Raffles Dubai
The last luxury hotel that we stayed at was the The Raffles Dubai. The architecture of this place is iconic, since the hotel is built in the shape of a pyramid. Located outside of Downtown Dubai, our extremely spacious top floor room offered a magnificent view over the city. Especially at night, all the lights from the buildings in the distance looked incredible. Moreover, our room also had a pool view, which just like the hotel had an absolutely unique design.
Our room came with a Club Room access, meaning we were able to get food and drinks at the club room all day- yes!
For their afternoon tea The Raffles had teamed up with luxury shoes brand Manolo Blahnik, to create a super fashionable tea experience (think edible high heels). For our afternoon tea we once again got a huge selection of vegan dishes. I have really started enjoying these afternoon teas- it makes you feel so classy 😉
A huge advantage of The Raffles is also that it is located extremely close to the airport. So when Julia and I had to say bye to Dubai after 6 nights, it only took us a 15-20 minute taxi ride to get to the airport.
Our week in Dubai felt like a fairytale come true. All these incredibly luxurious hotels made our stay absolutely unforgettable. In Dubai the motto: “The bigger, the better” definitely applies.
Thank you gor spoiling us Dubai!
